The story
Sofia sells bedding — a focused range of sheets, duvets and towels in a few materials. Her category is educational: buyers arrive not knowing whether they want percale or sateen, what GSM means for a towel, or whether thread count matters at all.
That education was happening entirely on competitor blogs and in AI answers assembled from them. Her own product pages said luxuriously soft and gave a thread count, which is both the least useful specification in the category and the one most often disputed.
She rewrote around weave, fibre, GSM and sleep temperature, published the comparison questions as FAQ schema on the products themselves, and generated snippets. Owning the explanation turned out to be how you get recommended.
