The story
Priya sells demi-fine jewelry — gold vermeil and sterling silver, made in small runs, shipped to eleven countries. Her customers do an enormous amount of research before spending anything, and almost all of it is about materials: what vermeil actually is, whether it will turn a finger green, how it compares to gold-filled.
Her product pages listed "14k gold vermeil over sterling silver" and stopped there. Accurate, and useless to someone who does not know what that means. The educational content that answers those questions lived on other people's blogs, and those brands were the ones being recommended when a buyer asked an AI assistant what to buy.
She turned every material question her support inbox receives into FAQ schema on the relevant products, generated answer-ready snippets, and published an LLMs.txt. The research traffic stopped landing somewhere else.
