How to Connect StoreSEO MCP to Manus
Manus is a general AI agent. You describe a task in plain words and it works through the steps, such as research, writing and acting in other apps, until it has a result for you.
This guide connects Manus to the StoreSEO MCP server at https://mcp.storeseo.com/mcp. Once connected, Manus can read your Shopify store’s SEO scores and settings and, when you agree, apply optimized meta, alt text, schema and other SEO changes. For what to ask once you are set up, see StoreSEO for Manus.
Before You Start
- Server URL:
https://mcp.storeseo.com/mcp - Sign-in: Manus documents custom MCP servers that authenticate with an API key, OAuth token or bearer token. Generate a personal access token in StoreSEO under Settings, AI Toolkit and enter it as the server’s authentication.
- Plan: The MCP server works on any active StoreSEO plan, including the free plan. A store with no active plan gets a message with a link to choose one in the app.
- Access token (if you need one): create it in the StoreSEO app under Settings, AI Toolkit. Treat it like a password.
Connect StoreSEO to Manus
Step 1: Create an access token in StoreSEO
In the StoreSEO app, open Settings, then AI Toolkit, and generate a named personal access token. Copy it now and keep it out of any chat.
StoreSEO → Settings → AI Toolkit → generate a token
Step 2: Add StoreSEO as a custom MCP server
In Manus, open Settings, then Integrations, then Custom MCP Servers, and choose Add Server. Give it a name, paste this URL as the server URL and enter your token as the authentication, as a Bearer token.

Step 3: Check it and use it
Manus verifies it can reach the server and read its tools. Then start a task that names StoreSEO, so Manus uses the connector.
Use StoreSEO to show me my store's SEO score breakdown.
Check the Connection
Start a new session and send this prompt. Manus should call StoreSEO and answer with your store’s real SEO score.
Use StoreSEO to show me my store's SEO score breakdown.
What to Ask Manus
- Use StoreSEO to list every product scoring under 50 and preview new meta for the first ten.
- Use StoreSEO to find product images with no alt text and show me what you would write for my best-selling collection.
- Is my llms.txt up to date? If not, tell me what generating a new one will change before you run it.
- Use StoreSEO to pull my Search Console queries from the last 28 days where we rank between 8 and 20, and write me a short brief.
- Check my store’s SEO setup with StoreSEO and give me the three fixes that matter most.
How Approvals Work
Reads such as SEO scores, store listings, settings and Google reports run straight away. Generating a preview spends AI credit but writes nothing, and StoreSEO tells the agent to say what a generation will cost before it runs one. Applying content, optimizing images, changing settings, publishing llms.txt or agents.md, writing a product description and deleting anything wait for your yes in the conversation. That yes is an instruction the agent follows, not a lock on the server, so your client’s own tool-approval setting is the hard stop.
Things to Know About Manus
- StoreSEO is not in the Manus connector directory. You add it yourself as a custom MCP server, and you name it in your prompt so Manus uses it.
- Manus documents API keys, OAuth tokens and bearer tokens for custom servers but does not describe a browser sign-in for them, so connect with a StoreSEO access token. Anyone with that token can use your StoreSEO tools, so revoke it in Settings, AI Toolkit if it leaks.
- Scheduled tasks run unattended, and Manus offers a setting to skip confirmations. Do not turn that on for a StoreSEO task that writes. Keep scheduled tasks report-only.
- Rank tracking is a Pro feature, Google reports need a paid plan with Google connected, and generated content spends AI credit.
Schedule a weekly SEO check in Manus
Manus documents scheduled tasks that run on a timetable, can use your connected apps and run unattended. For StoreSEO, make the task report-only: it should read scores and reports and write you a summary. Do not ask a scheduled task to apply content, generate files or delete anything, because you are not there to say yes, and leave the skip confirmations setting off.
Every Monday morning, use StoreSEO to read my store's SEO score breakdown, my lowest-scoring products and last week's Search Console insights. Summarize what changed. Do not apply, generate, publish or delete anything.
Disconnect
Remove the StoreSEO server in Manus, then revoke the connection or the access token in the StoreSEO app under Settings, AI Toolkit, where every connected client is listed.
