StoreSEO now lets you backup and restore the SEO data of your Shopify store with a few clicks. With this feature, you can backup your products’ important SEO data and restore them anytime later. In this documentation, we will show you how this functionality works.
How to Backup and Restore Your Store’s SEO Data Using StoreSEO?
StoreSEO lets you backup your products’ crucial SEO data like Meta Titles, Meta Descriptions, Focus Keywords, URL handles, Tags & Image ALT Text. Follow these steps to learn how it works:
Step 1: Navigate to ‘Backup & Restore’ Option in StoreSEO Settings
Open the StoreSEO app and go to the ‘Settings’ tab in the left side panel. Then, navigate to the ‘Backup & Restore’ option in StoreSEO settings.
Step 2: Create Backup of Your SEO Data
Click on the ‘Create backup’ button. In the following window, hit the ‘Start backup’ button. StoreSEO will now start the process of creating the backup. Once it is over, you will see a success message. You will find the backups that are in progress or newly created in the list within the ‘Data backups’ section.
Step 3: Restore Your SEO Data
Hit the ‘Restore’ button beside the backup in the list that you want to restore. In the following window, click on the ‘Restore’ button. StoreSEO will then start restoring the SEO data according to the specific backup. You will get a success message once the data is restored.
Note: To keep your backup list organized, you can remove any backup in the list by hitting the ‘Delete’ button beside the ‘Restore’ button.
